Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our partners also use similar technologies, such as pixels, tags, scripts, local storage and session-recording tools. We use the following types:
- Strictly necessary: to keep the Website secure and protect our contact form from spam and abuse (Cloudflare and Cloudflare Turnstile).
- Analytics and performance: to understand how visitors find and use the Website so we can improve it (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Cloudflare Web Analytics).
- Advertising and remarketing: to show you relevant advertising on other websites, apps and platforms and to measure its effectiveness (such as Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta and LinkedIn).
- Embedded content: videos and booking tools from YouTube (in privacy-enhanced mode) and Calendly, which may set their own cookies when you interact with them.
We may add, change or remove tools over time, and this Privacy Policy describes the categories of tools we use.
Analytics, session recording and advertising
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to measure how visitors use the Website. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect Usage Data, which Google processes on our behalf. You can learn how Google uses this information at How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Microsoft Clarity
We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with the Website through behavioural metrics, heatmaps and session replay, so we can improve and market our services. Website usage data is captured using first-party and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of our services and online activity. We also use this information for site optimisation, fraud and security purposes, and advertising. We configure Clarity to mask the information you type into form fields. For more information about how Microsoft collects and uses your data, visit the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Advertising and remarketing
We and our advertising partners, including Google, Microsoft, Meta and LinkedIn, may use cookies and pixels to show you ads for Structural SEO on other websites, apps and platforms after you visit the Website (“remarketing”), to build audiences of people with similar interests and to measure how our ads perform. If you give us your email address, we may upload an encrypted (hashed) version of it to an advertising platform to show you, or exclude you from, our ads.
You can control personalised advertising through:
- Google: My Ad Center
- Microsoft: Microsoft advertising settings
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): Ad preferences
- LinkedIn: Advertising data settings
- Industry opt-out tools: Digital Advertising Alliance (US) and Your Online Choices (EU)
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the Website, such as the contact form’s spam check, may not work properly.
How we use personal information
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiries, prepare proposals and provide our services
- schedule and hold calls and meetings
- send you information about your enquiry or our services
- send you marketing emails where you have agreed or where the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) otherwise allows it (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- measure, analyse and improve the Website, our content and our marketing

- protect the Website against spam, fraud, security threats and misuse
- comply with our legal obligations and keep business records
If you are in the EEA or the UK, we rely on the following legal bases: your consent (for analytics and advertising cookies where consent is required), our legitimate interests (for example, responding to business enquiries and keeping the Website secure), the performance of a contract with you, and compliance with our legal obligations.
Who we share personal information with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information with trusted service providers that help us run our business, who may only use it to provide their services to us, including:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, content delivery, security, spam protection and web analytics

We may also disclose personal information where required or authorised by law, to protect our rights, property or safety or those of others, or in connection with a sale or restructure of our business.
Under some US state laws, allowing advertising partners to collect information for cross-context behavioural advertising may be considered “selling” or “sharing” personal information. You can opt out using the advertising controls above or by contacting us.
Overseas disclosure
Many of our service providers, including Google, Microsoft, Meta, LinkedIn, Cloudflare, Resend and Calendly, store or process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States and in other countries where they operate. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements (usually up to seven years for client records). Analytics and advertising data is kept according to the retention settings of each tool, for example up to 14 months in Google Analytics. When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. The Website is served over encrypted HTTPS connections, and we limit access to personal information to people who need it. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
Access and correction. You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct it. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first, and in limited cases the law allows us to refuse access, in which case we will explain why.
Marketing. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us.
Cookies and advertising. You can manage cookies in your browser and use the opt-out tools listed above.
EEA and UK residents may also ask us to erase, restrict or transfer their personal information, object to our processing, and withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal).
Residents of US states with consumer privacy laws may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access, correct or delete it, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response within 30 days, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children’s privacy
The Website and our services are intended for businesses and are not directed at anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
The Website contains links to, and embedded content from, third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
